Young Serbian prospect Miomir Kecmanovic was forced into a second-set tiebreak by India’s Sumit Nagal before winning the decider in the first round in Cologne and the world number 39 will hope for an easier time of it here. Kecmanovic recently won his first ATP title at the Kitzbuhel Open on clay and has struggled for form since but he will fancy his chances against the eighth seed Adrian Mannarino. The 32-year-old Frenchman broke a four-match losing streak when he beat Alexei Popyrin in comfortable fashion yesterday but it remains to be seen if he has righted the ship and Kecmanovic will be a considerably bigger test. The Serb should come through here to reach the quarter-finals.
