THE PREDICTION
Last week’s bett1HULKS Indoors champion Alexander Zverev is loving his time in Cologne and should be fancied to reach the final on this court for a second week running. His US Open heartbreak seems to have instilled a new-found resilience in the German number one. His round of 16 match on Wednesday with John Millman saw Zverev race to a first set and then get pegged back to a decider. Often in recent times Zverev has found himself losing focus from a winning position, especially coming into a new week from a successful campaign, but to come through that tussle is a promising sign for his future. His opponent, Adrian Mannarino, has played well so far in Cologne and is yet to drop a set this week but the Frenchman only recently lost to Zverev at the US Open to extend a 0-3 head-to-head record with the German and it looks like more of the same here. Whether it comes in two or three sets is totally up to Alexander Zverev, though, so a win by any means is the most logical market.
