Tallon Griekspoor vs Tomas Martin Etcheverry prediction

Tallon Griekspoor’s form has tailed off since his victory in Mallorca at the end of June. Despite being tipped for a decent run at SW19, he lost in the first-round of Wimbledon to Jenson Brooksby. The Dutchman then competed in Bastad but he struggled in his first match against Andrea Pellegrino, having to save several match points to win, before losing for the second time this year to compatriot Jesper de Jong. Griekspoor’s best result on a hard court this season was a semi-final appearance in Dubai, which included a win over former world number one Daniil Medvedev. 

Despite splitting from his coach, Tomas Martin Etcheverry was able to end a six match losing streak with a first-round win against Pierre-Hugues Herbert in Toronto. Etcheverry failed to serve out the match at the first opportunity when he was 5-4 up, but broke the Herbert serve in the very next service game and sealed it at the second attempt.

Despite his indifferent form in recent weeks, Griekspoor possesses the stronger all-court game and is likely to overpower Etcheverry.
