Jannik Sinner brushed aside Daniel Altmaier to continue his winning streak since his failed defence of the US Open crown.

The Dutchman overcame a second-set blip to race to a 6-1 1-6 6-1 success against Jenson Brooksby and end a seven-match losing run.

The world number 31 has only ever won two sets against Sinner and despite ending a barren spell here, his current level won’t be enough against an opponent who has pretty much dominated the hardcourt scene for the past two years.
