Tallon Griekspoor vs Holger Rune Prediction
Tallon Griekspoor continues to enjoy a fantastic week at Indian Wells and the unseeded Dutchman comes off a 7-6 6-1 win over Japanese qualifier Yosuke Watanuki. He deserved that draw after some tough matches to reach that stage against Miomir Kecmanovic, Alexander Zverev and Giovani Mpetshi Perricard.
There will be no easy passage to the semis however as he now takes on Holger Ruud who he has met twice before. Griekspoor won both of those meetings but both of them came on clay are this could be a very different type of match.
Rune has not had an easy path to this stage neither as he has had to overcome a couple of seeded players too in Ugo Humbert and Stefanos Tsitsipas. His win over the Greek star last time out was impressive as he ran out 6-4 6-4 winner.
He is another player that has the quality but struggles for consistency and belief at times but similar to Medvedev, there is a lot to like about him this week. He is quietly going about his business and playing some high-quality tennis.
We like Rune’s chances of bringing an end to Griekspoor’s tremendous week here and we think the Dane offers some good value in this one.
