Sydney Roosters vs Penrith Panthers prediction

There’s no doubt that Penrith Panthers have been one of the most impressive teams so far to begin the NRL season, winning twice and conceding just six points in the process, shutting out Brisbane Broncos and blowing away Cronulla Sharks, putting up 26 points on both sides. Such a dominant backline stands them in good stead heading to Sydney Roosters, who were victorious at home most recently against South Sydney Rabbitohs.

The worry from the Roosters’ point of view is that their defence won’t be able to contain the likes of Nathan Cleary and co, who will be confident of putting up a healthy number of points across 80 minutes. If Penrith continue to snuff out the opposition offence as well as we’ve seen so far from them after two rounds, then it’s hard not to see them coming out on top here.
