Suzan Lamens vs Veronika Kudermetova prediction
Both Suzan Lamens and Veronika Kudermetova made it through to the third round in Montreal, the former losing to Lin Zhu whilst Kudermetova was beaten by number one seed Coco Gauff, although the 26-year-old pushed Gauff hard, eventually going down in three sets. It was a positive tournament though for Kudermetova, who was coming off the back of victory in the Wimbledon women’s doubles event.
However, the singles format is an entirely different kettle of fish and Lamens’ strong service game in particular should prove important for her in Cincinnati. Lamens also has a good record on the hard court, but if Kudermetova can replicate the performance levels she showed vs Gauff, then Lamens has her work cut out here.
The overall result between these two could go either way and backing a long duel that lasts over two sets may well be the move to consider.
