Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Lorenzo Musetti prediction

Stefanos Tsitsipas has suffered a desperately disappointing season, as his form has nosedived and injuries have also taken their toll. He did not compete during the Asian swing due to a leg injury, while he also had to cope with an ongoing back problem during this campaign. He made his return at the Six Kings Slam, losing to Jannik Sinner in Saudi Arabia.

Lorenzo Musetti is his first-round opponent in Vienna. Musetti began his indoors season at the European Open last week as the top seed, but he lost to Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the quarter-finals. The Italian has competed in a lot of tournaments since making the quarter-finals of the US Open as he aims to ensure his place in the World Tour Finals, but there are signs that he could be running out of steam.

Tsitsipas leads the head-to-head 5-2 but Musetti has won their last two meetings, which both took place earlier this season. The Greek has been out of sorts for months now and the Italian will be heavily favoured to win for a third time in succession against his opponent.
