Stefan Dostanic vs Eliot Spizzirri prediction

Stefan Dostanic showed great promise on his tour-level debut in Winston Salem as he won his first-round match against Aleksandar Vukic in straight sets. He then produced a brilliant display in the next round against defending champion Lorenzo Sonego, even going a break up in the decider, before eventually losing a tight match.

He will face fellow American Eliot Spizzirri in the first-round. He lost a close match in the first-round of Cincinnati qualifying to Lloyd Harris last time out. His form on the Challenger Tour has been very solid, with four straight semi-final finishes throughout July and the early part of August.

The head-to-head is 1-1 between the pair, with Dostanic winning the first meeting between the pair in Charleston last year while Spizzirri notched a victory just last month in the first-round of the Lexington Challenger. 

Spizzirri is a more seasoned pro, but Dostanic cannot be counted out on his slam debut, especially after his performances in Winston-Salem. This could very well go all the way to a decider with no clear winner.
