St. Helens team news: Hastings back for hosts

St. Helens will welcome a number of players back for the visit of Huddersfield Giants, but none more important than Jackson Hastings, who returns following his two-game ban.

Huddersfield Giants team news: Dunford straight in

Following his signing from Brisbane Tigers, Zane Dunford is thrown straight into the Huddersfield Giants squad and could make his debut here at the BrewDog Stadium.

Squad: Niall Evalds, Jacob Gagai, Taane Milne, Tui Lolohea, Tristan Powell, Zac Woolford, Tom Burgess, Asher O’Donnell, Fenton Rogers, Matty English, George King, Joe Greenwood, Kieran Rush, Mathieu Cozza, George Flanagn Jr, Chris Patolo, Oliver Russell, Cole Geyer, Lee Kershaw, Lewis Jagger, Zane Dunford

St. Helens vs Huddersfield Giants prediction

For St. Helens, this game is really all about complacency. Provided they maintain their composure, high standards and treat Huddersfield Giants with respect, then the Saints should wind up too good for their opponents. Because Huddersfield proved when beating Wigan Warriors earlier in the season at the Brick Community Stadium that if you underestimate them, they can give you a bloody nose.

But Paul Rowley is an experienced coach and there’s little chance that he’ll let standards slip within the St. Helens camp, especially with them being at home. Expect the Saints to do their job and overpower Huddersfield, winning by a significant number of points.

St. Helens vs Huddersfield Giants tip: St. Helens to win with -20.5 handicap
