St. George Illawarra Dragons vs Newcastle Knights prediction
The opening clash of Round 13 sees the St George Illawarra Dragons host the Newcastle Knights for the Alex McKinnon Cup at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.
Fresh from a bye in Round 12, the Dragons (10th) last outing was a superb 30-26 victory over the Brisbane Broncos in Round 11.
The Knights (14th) are coming off an impressive 25-6 win against a decimated Penrith Panthers side in Round 12, with Dylan Lucas grabbing a hat-trick of tries from an emphatic 272 run metres.
The last time these two teams met was in Round 5, 2024, where the Knights got the better of the Dragons 30-10. The Dragons have won 6 of the 10 clashes against the Knights at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium
With the Dragons fresh off a bye and a previous win, they will be keen to impress at home while the Knights, buoyed by a significant victory over the Panthers, will aim to carry that form forward. With minimal impact for the Dragons from Origin, we think they can win this one against the Knights.
