Sorana Cirstea vs Nikola Bartunkova prediction

Sorana Cirstea has enjoyed a brilliant farewell season, but she did suffer an early exit in Toronto last time out as she lost her opening match to Maya Joint in straight sets. Her highlights in this campaign include a title in Cluj, a career best ranking of 17 in the world and a run to the quarter-finals of Roland Garros for the second time in her career. She will hope to return to winning ways against Nikola Bartunkova.

The Czech won two matches at the Canadian Open to reach the third-round. She looked on course for the round-of-16 as she took the first set against two-time Grand Slam finalist Amanda Anisimova, but the American came back to win in three. She was not at her best in her first-round match here, as she had to come from a set down to beat Alina Charaeva. She was broken on four separate occasions, but came back to win 4-6 6-4 6-3. 

If Bartunkova produces an improved display in this match, Cirstea could be under pressure from the off.
