The Brit powered to a 7-6 6-3 success over the second seed and will now take on Sorana Cirstea.

The Romanian hit back to defeat home wildcard Moyuka Uchijima 2-6 6-4 6-2.

This will be their maiden showdown and there’s no doubt Cirstea is the more in-form player, but Boulter has bigger weapons mixed with issues of consistency. 

It could be a bit of a battle so a tip for it going three is a decent shout.
