Sorana Cirstea vs Jelena Ostapenko prediction

Sorana Cirstea backed up her win over Aryna Sabalenka with a dominant display against Linda Noskova.

The Romanian surged to a 6-2 6-4 victory over the Czech 13th seed to set up a seventh career meeting with Jelena Ostapenko.

The Latvian reached the last eight with a 6-1 6-2 rout of Anna Kalinskaya.

Ostapenko leads the match-up 4-3 but Cirstea has won three of the last four, including a 6-2 7-6 success in Brisbane earlier this year.

However, Jelena came out on top in their only previous meeting on clay which saw her prevail 6-3 3-6 6-2 at this very tournament three years ago.

Ostapenko looks to be in one of those purple patches that can see her surge all the way to a title, but Sorana has been magnificent in 2026 and this should be a bit of a scrap if both players live up to their form so far this week.
