Soonwoo Kwon vs Martin Landaluce prediction

Soonwoo Kwon enters the draw as a qualifier after three straight victories. He also won a Challenger title in Wuxi last month, his third of the season overall, but his other grass court event saw him lose in the opening round of Nottingham. The South Korean is ranked just outside the top 200 in the world, but he does have 25 wins from 30 matches at lower-level tournaments this year.

He will face Martin Landaluce in the first-round. The Spaniard was unable to generate momentum during the grass court warm-up events, losing in the opening rounds of Halle and Mallorca. Landaluce reached the third-round of Roland Garros, while he also progressed to the quarter-finals of two Masters 1000 events in Miami and Rome.

This has the makings of a very competitive first-round encounter. Landaluce has demonstrated excellent resilience in longer matches, although Kwon comes into this encounter full of confidence after progressing through qualifying.

Soonwoo Kwon vs Martin Landaluce tip: Over 3.5 sets
