Sofia Kenin vs Varvara Gracheva prediction

Sofia Kenin crashed out of the Canadian Open early on last time out, defeated by 18-year-old and shock eventual champion Victoria Mboko in the second-round. Kenin was largely uncompetitive as she went down 6-2 6-3. She’s not enjoyed the most productive of seasons but has made the quarter-finals of two hard court events this year. They were achieved in Hobart and Dubai during the first two months of the year.

Varvara Gracheva will be her opponent after she defeated Katie Volynets in three sets in the first-round. Despite Volynets having a 75% first serve percentage, Gracheva still managed to break her serve on six separate occasions as she won 6-4 3-6 6-3.

They have played once before and it took place earlier this year, with Kenin easily winning 6-3 6-1 in the first-round of Roland Garros. She should have too much for Gracheva once again in Cincinnati.
