Sinja Kraus vs Dayana Yastremska prediction

Sinja Kraus advanced to the next stage in Beijing after her opponent Anastasia Potapova was forced to retire in the first set of their match. Kraus was leading 4-1. She came through a tricky first-round encounter against Maya Joint, winning in three sets. Kraus had not won a WTA 1000 main draw match in her career prior to this event, but she is now just one win away from the round-of-16.

Dayana Yastremska is through to the third-round of a WTA event for just the second time this season after comfortably getting past Roland Garros finalist Maja Chwalinska. Yastremska, who beat Caty McNally in round one, only conceded the four games on her way to a 6-3 6-1 victory. The Ukrainian is yet to drop a set at the tournament.

Yastremska has shown significant improvement this week despite a difficult 2026 season, and her greater experience could prove decisive against Kraus.
