Shuai Zhang vs Anastasia Zakharova prediction
Shuai Zhang has been in decent form as of late. She made the third-round of the China Open and then followed that up with another round three appearance in Wuhan. This included an impressive win over Emma Navarro in the first-round. This has been her most consistent form on the WTA Tour so far this year.
She plays Anastasia Zakharova in the first-round of the Guangzhou Open. She fared better in Jinan last week as she got through to the last eight. However, that was on the ITF circuit and came after three successive first-round WTA defeats in her other Asian swing tournaments.
They faced each other for the first time just last month, as Zhang came from a set down to defeat Zakharova in the first-round of Beijing. The Chinese player has been the more consistent of the two and will fancy her chances of completing another victory against Zakharova here.
