Sho Shimabukuro vs Marcos Giron prediction
Sho Shimabukuro has pulled off a couple of victories already down in Florida, having beaten both Ben Willwerth and then Adam Walton in qualification for the first round. Shimabukuro also came through qualifying for the ATP 500 Dallas Open last week before a hard-fought three set loss to Miomir Kecmanovic.
Marcos Giron has played some good tennis in the last month or so and so he will be immensely frustrated to have suffered a couple of losses against compatriots. At the Australian Open, Giron was beaten in five sets by Learner Tien before then suffering a 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 loss to eventual winner and number one seed Taylor Fritz at the Dallas Open.
Marcos Giron, despite back-to-back losses since being a semi-finalist at the ACB Classic last month, is in good form and should be backed to come out on top here.
