Shang Juncheng vs James Duckworth prediction

Shang Juncheng finally makes his return to the tour after a foot injury which required surgery and has hampered nearly all of his season so far. The Chinese player last competed at the Australian Open in January, retiring midway through his match with Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. He did start the year by making the semi-finals of the Hong Kong Open and climbed to his highest ranking of 47 last year after winning his first title in Chengdu.

He will make his comeback against James Duckworth. Duckworth did show some promise in Los Cabos as he defeated Adrian Mannarino and Davidovich Fokina en route to the quarters but the Washington Open was far more disappointing, as he lost in the first stage of qualifying. 

They have not featured at tour-level though Shang did win their only encounter in the first round of qualifying for the Paris Masters last year. He is likely to be rusty after being out of action for the last six months and this should be a match where Duckworth comes out on top.
