Sebastian Korda vs Marton Fucsovics prediction
Sebastian Korda continued his comeback with a straight sets win over Miomir Kecmanovic. The American breezed through the first set and broke straight after Kecmanovic had drawn level in the second to win 6-1 6-4 after just an hour and eight minutes. Korda’s serve proved to be the main component of the win, as he won 79% of his first serve points and slammed down 14 aces.
Marton Fucsovics will be his opponent in the last four as the Hungarian continued his brilliant run with a win over Jaume Munar. The Hungarian failed to close out the first set at 5-4 but was able to do so at the second attempt after breaking the Spaniard once again. A topsy-turvy second saw Fucsovics race to a 3-0 lead only for Munar to draw level at 3-3. The 33-year-old was not to be denied however, as he broke on two more occasions to win 7-5 6-3 and reach a second semi-final on the ATP Tour this season.
The head-to-head is locked at 1-1. Korda beat Fucsovics at this very event two years ago, with the Hungarian exacting revenge just a week later at the US Open. Fucsovics has come from nowhere this week and will be a threat to Korda, but the 25-year-old has looked sharp on his return, especially on serve.
