Vacherot beat Arthur Rinderknech, his first cousin, in the final. The 27-year-old began his Asian swing strongly, reaching the semi-finals of the Japan Open, beating the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Arthur Fils.

Vacherot will be under pressure to perform as he looks to defend a significant number of ranking points, but he should have enough quality to begin his campaign with a comfortable victory over Baez.
