Sara Bejlek vs Naomi Osaka prediction

Sara Bejlek began her China Open campaign with a win over Maddison Inglis. She took the first set with ease but was pegged back after going 2-0 up in the second. Nevertheless, she broke Inglis’ serve for the fourth time and closed it out to win 6-3 7-5. Bejlek won the Abu Dhabi Open this year and also advanced to the semi-finals in Cincinnati, beating Aryna Sabalenka and Madison Keys along the way.

Her next opponent is Naomi Osaka. The four-time Grand Slam champion was tested by Maria Timofeeva but managed to navigate her way through a tricky opening encounter. Osaka was a set and 2-0 up but Timofeeva reeled off five games in a row on her way to levelling the match. The Japanese player regrouped well to claim a 6-3 3-6 6-3 win.

Osaka will have benefited from getting a match under her belt and should have enough weapons to overwhelm Bejlek.
