Sara Bejlek’s fairytale charge has continued all the way to the Abu Dhabi final after a resilient win over Clara Tauson.

The Czech qualifier claimed a spot in her maiden WTA final thanks to a 7-5 3-6 7-5 victory at the expense of the Danish third seed.

The 19-year-old will now meet Ekaterina Alexandrova in the final after the second seed vanquished the on-fire Hailey Baptiste by a 3-6 7-6 6-3 scoreline.

This is a clash of youth versus experience with the 31-year-old world number 11 locking horns with a 19-year-old sitting at 101 in the rankings.

Alexandrova will be featuring in her 14th tour-level final with a 6-7 record overall but just one victory from her last six tussles for the trophy.

The occasion may see Bejlek blink for the first time here and it may come down to handles the pressure of the day the best.
