Sara Bejlek continued her incredible run at the Cincinnati Open as she defeated Madison Keys in three sets to advance to the semi-finals. Bejlek produced the shock of the tournament as she beat world number one Aryna Sabalenka in the round-of-16, and she followed that up with 3-6 6-4 7-6 (5) win over the American. She has now beaten four seeded players at this tournament.
Her next opponent is Coco Gauff after the two-time major singles champion easily got past Marta Kostyuk. Gauff created 11 break point opportunities in total as she won 6-2 6-2. Gauff now leads Kostyuk 4-2 in the head-to-head. She has also advanced to 17 WTA 1000 semi-finals in her career, at just 22 years old.
Bejlek has enjoyed an incredible event so far, but Gauff will be difficult to stop if she replicates her performance from the previous round. She is one match away from a third final of the season.
