Although she hasn’t progressed beyond the first round at the PDC World Darts Championship since her memorable debut, Fallon Sherrock is still a player you don’t want to face at Ally Pally.

Ryan Meikle vs Fallon Sherrock Prediction
In truth it’s not been the best year on tour for Ryan Meikle, although his run to the fifth round of the UK Open in March is undoubtedly a standout performance. The 28-year-old has otherwise failed to really make any impact in any event, short of a quarter-final appearance in Players Championship 7 in early April.
Although he missed out on the worlds last year, this is Meikle’s fourth appearance at Alexandra Palace, and he’s twice made it to the second round.
This will be ‘Queen of the Palace’ Fallon Sherrock’s fifth appearance at the PDC World Darts Championship, and it's fair to say she has failed to replicate that memorable first appearance in the 2019-20 event when she defeated Ted Evetts and Mensur Suljovic on her way to the third round.
That, and her quarter-final appearance at the following year's Grand Slam of Darts, remains her finest showing in PDC major events, but she remains a force on the women’s circuit and has won three events in the Women’s Series in 2024.
A blockbuster second-round encounter with Luke Littler awaits and there is no doubt that the Ally Pally crowd, as well as the watching media, will want to see that match. If Meikle can deal with having the crowd against him, he should have too much for Sherrock, but it is unlikely to be straightforward.
Ryan Meikle vs Fallon Sherrock Tip: Over 3.5 sets
