Benetton’s decent spell of surprising form looks to be behind them now after a six-match winless run across all competitions. They have lost by more than 20 points in each of their last three United Rugby Championship matches but this scoreline should come a lot closer as travelling Connacht continue to struggle this season. The visitors have been truly thumped in their last two URC fixtures, away at Edinburgh and most recently at home to leaders Leinster, and confidence is likely to be down for this long trip to Treviso. In fact it could be tempting to take the hosts, buoyed perhaps by Italy’s exploits in the Six Nations two weeks ago, to sneak this tight one with a +4 head-start. Otherwise, backing the visitors to win outright seems the sensible move.
