THE PREDICTION
Rock-bottom Biarritz are nine points away from second-from-bottom Perpignan ahead of this weekend’s fixtures after an expected 40-7 thumping away at Racing 92. They have lost seven of their last eight matches across all competitions since an impressive victory at home to La Rochelle back in February but travelling Castres have play-offs to chase and they look in serious form. The visitors beat Clermont 12-0 last Saturday to maintain their ruthless record at home but recent defeats at London Irish in the Challenge Cup and Brive in the Top 14 suggest this could come close. A home win would be a surprise considering the Top 14 season we have seen but backing the visitors to edge this with an outright win looks a suitably cautious move.
