Clermont lost an attritional match away at Castres 12-0 last Saturday to take things from bad to worse after defeats home and away to Leicester Tigers saw them crash out of the Champions Cup quarter-finals. The French giants have won just one of their last five matches across all competitions but they have a nine-match winning streak at home in the Top 14 that poor travellers Stade Francais look unlikely to burst. The visitors snapped a four-match losing streak with a 21-18 victory at home to Pau last Saturday but aside from a shock win at then-struggling Toulouse back in February they have only beaten second-from-bottom Perpignan on their travels. Clermont have generally scored well at home in recent months and backing them to cover around -9 looks a reasonable pick here.
