THE PREDICTION

Montpellier beat Racing 92 22-13 last time out to snap a torrid run of four defeats across all competitions that looked capable of derailing their season. The Top 14 leaders, and in must be said most of their rivals, have struggled to perform at their best in the second half the season and this looks a really tough trip with a win required to keep their lead. Clermont beat Biarritz 8-26 last time out to make it back-to-back wins in the Top 14 and they have lost just once at home, at least domestically. This looks really tight and backing Clermont to edge this outright seems something of a risk. Perhaps taking the visitors with a hefty +5 head-start is the more sensible move.
