THE PREDICTION

Reigning Premiership champions Harlequins were able to fulfil both of their Champions Cup fixtures with a 43-17 win last Saturday backing up an excellent 18-20 win away at Castres. They lost a close-fought battle at leaders Leicester last time out in the Premiership and they were shocked 19-22 by London Irish before that but their performance in Europe weekend was much improved. Travelling Northampton Saints were not so fortunate, with defeats at home to Racing 92 and a close 27-22 loss at Ulster last weekend in keeping with some of their recent performances.

Quins looked rejuvenated against Cardiff last weekend but the loss of Marcus Smith to self-isolation makes this Big Game tougher. Covering -7 against the Saints seemed a reasonable target before the team news but perhaps the hosts as outright winners is more sensible now.
