THE PREDICTION

Exeter made it three away wins in a row with a 13-16 fight-back victory at the ever-improving Gloucester last Friday to bounce back from a poor 21-33 loss at home to London Irish before. They will see Sam Simmonds’ England snub as their gain with international stars departing for the Autumn tests this week and a home tie against Newcastle Falcons should favour them well in the transition. Visiting Newcastle lost their second away game in a row last time out at Gloucester but they sat out last week as the spare part in a 13-side league table and the break could have helped them prepare for a famous day here. Exeter are by no means a solid outfit at present but they should be able to cover -10 here in a suitably cautious pick.
