THE PREDICTION

In-form Racing 92 ran rampant at Pau last Saturday in a 21-42 victory that extends their winning streak to five across all competitions. They have lost just twice at home this season to previous Top 14 leaders Bordeaux Begles and current leaders Montpellier but they are riding a nine-match unbeaten streak here since that looks a tough ask for travelling Sale Sharks. The visitors’ recent results have come close indeed in recent weeks, with a 35-27 victory at home to struggling Newcastle Falcons not up to the standard they were exhibiting just a few months ago. Sale are, however, unbeaten in three away matches overall and with each of their last six results settled by eight points or less this could come down the finest of margins. Back in-form Racing 92 to edge this with an outright win or hand them a +1 head-start for luck.
