THE PREDICTION

Gloucester were at their insatiable best last Saturday in a 64-0 whitewash over their beleaguered rivals Bath, with Louis Rees-Zammit scoring two of nine tries. They so nearly beat another West Country foe in a tight 29-28 defeat away at Bristol Bears in their previous Premiership match but they face a side certainly not struggling here in travelling Saracens, who come off a 16-38 victory away at Worcester Warriors last Saturday. Sarries look reasonable favourites to come through here on a five-match winning streak across all competitions and they have won their last three Premiership away games. This could come a lot closer than some may assume in a knock-out clash on Friday night given Gloucester’s form but backing Saracens to cover a cautious -2 seems reasonable here.
