THE PREDICTION
Edinburgh started the United Rugby Championship season off in serious form but they have lost five of their last seven matches. They could well return from the Champions Cup to find they have been usurped in the play-offs by the likes of Stormers, Bulls or Sharks who play their game in-hand this weekend but Edinburgh should at least fare well in this home test against the Top 14’s Pau. The visitors are no pushovers right now as they bring a three-match winning streak to Scotland after a 19-42 romp away at Biarritz last Saturday and back-to-back away victories is a real concern for the hosts. Edinburgh are unbeaten at home, though, and backing them to cover around -5 looks a fairly cautious move.
