THE PREDICTION
With a whole host of uncertainty surrounding the Rugby Championship after New Zealand were forced to cancel their last Bledisloe Cup match with Australia and two tests against South Africa, the Springboks look the solid favourites to defend their 2019 title. A snap lockdown in New Zealand following their first positive covid-19 case in six months means travel restrictions have put a halt to the All Blacks’ challenge in the Rugby Championship for now and paved the way for South Africa to ease to victory after their first comfortable win over Argentina last weekend. A much-changed Springboks line-up had little trouble beating the Pumas 32-12 at Port Elizabeth and with plenty of their Lions Series stars returning to this line-up we can expect more of the same on Saturday. Argentina should come back harder too, especially now with the opportunity to finish this tournament above New Zealand for a pretty unique bragging right, but take the hosts to cover -14.5 here in victory.
