THE PREDICTION
Montpellier have lost back-to-back matches in the Top 14 after an agonisingly close 23-22 defeat at Pau last Saturday but a 15-17 loss at home to Toulouse the week before is pretty impressive in itself. They would have been confident of the win here if they were hosting La Rochelle last weekend but last season’s runners-up look to have woken up with a 59-17 victory at home to Biarritz last Saturday. It is too soon to ascertain if that result at home to a newly-promoted side is the beginning of something or simply a mismatch but this result looks a tough call as a result. Given Montpellier’s losing streak, taking La Rochelle as outright winners looks a valuable option right now but this should be left out of an accumulator for now.
