The hangover from losing in the Top 14 Play-Off final and Champions Cup final to Toulouse looks to be dragging into the new season for La Rochelle, who are second-from-bottom in the league with three defeats. Admittedly, La Rochelle have endured an immensely tough opening three fixtures with losses at home to Toulouse and away at Racing 92 and Clermont most recently, with that last result coming agonisingly close at 23-22. They should be able to claim a first win here at home to newly-promoted Biarritz as their fixtures start to ease up but the visitors are no pushovers after two brilliant home wins against Bordeaux and, last time out, Racing 92. With fans back in grounds home advantage has returned with a vengeance in the Top 14 and La Rochelle can give theirs something to cheer about by covering -25 here.
