Castres have two wins from two to start this weekend’s fixtures in third place of the Top 14. Their 30-34 win away at Clermont Auvergne was the shock of the weekend and builds upon some great performances towards the end of last season that makes them look something of a dark horse for the play-offs this year. Travelling Bordeaux lost their opening match of the season to newly-promoted Biarritz but they bounced back at home last Saturday to beat Stade Francais 37-10. They understandably took some time to get going last season after having their promising 2019/20 campaign cancelled by the coronavirus pandemic but there are no excuses this time around. Given their respective starts, taking Castres as outright winners at home looks the right way to go here.
