THE PREDICTION
Montpellier were thrashed 57-9 away at in-form Bordeaux on Tuesday as they finally caught up with the rest of the Top 14 on 24 matches played but they will not mind one bit considering they won the Challenge Cup last Friday and have therefore qualified for next season’s Champions Cup. They should still be able to see the season off with a win at home on paper against travelling Bayonne but the visitors beat leaders Toulouse 28-32 on the road last time out in their biggest win of the season. Given that result and Montpellier’s recent hammering this result looks like a good one to leave well alone. Take the match to see over 40 points instead, with Bayonne a difficult side to pin down.
