Bordeaux Begles have played so well to reach these heights at the end of the Top 14 season after the anguish of having last season axed due to the coronavirus pandemic. At the time, they were top of the league with a few months remaining and there would be a certain amount of poetic justice if they were to win this final game of the season to finish top in 2021. That is a distinct possibility with joint-leaders La Rochelle playing at Clermont and home advantage has remained strong in the French Top 14 despite a lack of fans. Travelling Toulouse currently hang by a thread at the top of the table after a 36-27 win at home to Clermont last time out but Bordeaux’s four wins at home in a row across all competitions could swing this. It is incredibly tough to call with Toulouse winning their last three meetings, although the last played here went to Bordeaux in 2019.
