THE PREDICTION
Wakefield Trinity will have high hopes of ending their 14-match
losing streak to local rivals Castleford Tigers as the pair do battle in
this midweek Super League contest. Wakefield come into this on the back
of a loss to Warrington Wolves, although that was their first defeat in
four matches. Castleford on the other hand were unable to build on the
high of reaching the Challenge Cup final as their under-strength side
went down to Hull FC last week, making it four straight Super League
defeats. The Tigers have been able to name a stronger squad for this
contest but the absence of Jake Trueman remains a big one and while
Trinity can capitalise to prevail, it might pay to look at the points
market here with all four of the pair’s most recent matches producing at
least 46 points.
