- Salford Red Devils put in a professional display to see off Hull FC last week and keep their top four hopes alive and they will be eager to build on that as they come up against one of the teams they attempt to chase down.
- The Red Devils have plenty of work to do if they are to challenge for the play-offs and can ill-afford to drop many more points but the distraction of the weekend’s Challenge Cup semi-final may prove difficult to overcome.
- Head coach Ian Watson has opted to rest the likes of Kevin Brown and Joey Lussick while Dan Sarginson and Luke Yates have copped bans from the weekend's clash but that offers loan signings Olly Ashall-Bott and Tom Gilmore the chance to make their debuts.

- Warrington Wolves maintained their superb run of form as they saw off Catalans Dragons last week as they maintained their spot at the top of Super League but they will find it difficult to extend their winning streak to ten matches in all competitions.
- The Wolves have decided to protect their squad by heavily rotating ahead of their Challenge Cup semi-final at the weekend with the likes of Daryl Clark, Blake Austin and Gareth Widdop sitting out.
- Warrington head coach Steve Price has confirmed that he will hand a debut to several youngsters in the form of Cole Oakley, Nathan Roebuck, Kyle Shelford and Connor Wrench in what is set to be a hugely-changed side for this clash.

THE PREDICTION
Salford Red Devils have plenty of work to do to make the top four but they will believe they have a great chance to capitalise on their chance to face a weakened Warrington Wolves outfit. The table toppers have opted to rest the majority of their strongest 17 and will field a largely youthful side as they look to protect their squad ahead of a busy schedule. Warrington are the form team of the competition but obviously face a very different task here with most of their key players out of the side and while Salford have also rested a handful of players, they should be too strong here although this should be a contest where defences are not on top so expect at least 46 points.
