- Wakefield Trinity made it back-to-back wins as they were able to build on their narrow success against Huddersfield Giants by putting in one of their best performances of the season to blitz Hull KR.
- Trinity were brilliant as they led 26-0 at half-time and despite Rovers putting in a fightback at the start of the second period, Wakefield were able to end on a high as they ran out 48-18 victors.
- In a further boost for Trinity as they look to make it three in a row, Joe Westerman is back in contention after he was rested at the weekend whilst Jacob Miller also looks set to return, although Tony Gigot and Matty Ashurst are out through injury.

Leeds Rhinos got their top four hopes back on track as they returned to winning ways with a narrow win over Castleford Tigers on Monday but their performance left a lot to be desired and they will have to improve if they want to secure their spot in the play-offs. They take on Wakefield Trinity in this clash, a side that have won back-to-back matches for the first time this season after seeing off Huddersfield Giants and Hull KR last week. Wakefield are still in danger of claiming the wooden spoon and will want to build on their recent upturn and whilst this will be a tough game for them, they can come out on top with the aid of a +12.5 start.
