- Leeds Rhinos paid the price for resting the majority of their first-choice 17 as they were heavily beaten by St. Helens last week but that was a calculated risk from head coach Richard Agar that he hopes will pay off.
- Having won the Challenge Cup last weekend, Agar decided to keep his players fresh for this encounter with Castleford Tigers with the games coming thick and fast as we approach the business end of the campaign.
- Adam Cuthbertson has been ruled out for the season but the remaining 16 players that took to the field at Wembley have been named in this squad as Leeds look to work their way back into the top four.

- Castleford Tigers finally ended their miserable run of form as they won for the first time in six matches in all competitions as they saw off Hull KR last week, although they almost surrendered a big lead in that contest.
- It is now two wins in nine league matches for the Tigers, a number that is nowhere near good enough for them but they will hope they can build on the win over Rovers as they bid to end the season on a high.
- Cas looked set to run away with that game having led 24-0 but they allowed Rovers to close the gap to just six points before kicking-on once again to seal the win and they will feel they can put in a better display here with the likes of Liam Watts and Gareth O’Brien returning to the fold.

Leeds Rhinos effectively accepted defeat before even taking to the field against St. Helens last week as they named a severely under-strength side with a focus on this match. That decision from head coach Richard Agar will be worth it if his team can make a successful return to winning ways here as he welcomes back his first team stars but they are unlikely to get it all their own way against Castleford Tigers. Daryl Powell’s side won for just the second time in nine Super League matches last time out against Hull KR and will be buoyed by that but with Leeds still chasing a play-off spot, it is a tough spot for Cas. The Tigers will want to end the season on a high but with the Rhinos having more to play for, their desire as well as a freshened line-up should ensure Leeds win this by at least eight.
