THE PREDICTION

This is essentially a play-off to determine which nation will advance to the quarter-finals as runners-up in Group A. Samoa bounced back excellently from their mauling at the hands of England by thrashing Greece 72-4, whilst France could only defeat the Greeks by 34 points to 12 in comparison. However, France put up a much better fight vs England, losing by 24 points as opposed to 54. In what is likely to be one of the closest group games we’ve seen so far, the momentum is with Samoa who look to have now hit their straps and provided their offensive players can replicate the performance levels they showed last time out, it may be enough for them to overpower France, so consider backing Samoa to triumph.
