THE PREDICTION

Lebanon are currently sat third in Group C, but with second-placed Ireland facing a formidable New Zealand side, the Cedars know that a win over pointless Jamaica is likely to see them through to the quarter-finals. The offensive of Jamaica has been a real weak spot for them over the course of the tournament so far, having scored just 8 points across their two games played, especially when compared to Lebanon, who have managed 44 points in comparison against the same opposition. When assessing both squads, the Lebanon defence should prove strong enough to shut out Jamaica for large periods of this encounter and lay the foundations for an eventual victory for Michael Cheika’s side.
