- New Zealand Warriors continued their push for a spot in the top eight with a superb victory over Newcastle Knights last week and they can move to within two points of Cronulla Sharks if they can topple Parramatta Eels here.

- Parramatta Eels’ top two hopes suffered a huge blow as they were humiliated by South Sydney Rabbitohs last week and the Eels could face a nervy end to the regular season if they fail to win this one.
- The Eels failed to score as Souths tore them apart in the one-sided affair and having gone down to the 0-38 loss, there is plenty of work for Parramatta to do to fix issues on both sides of the ball.
- o make matters worse for the Eels, they have lost five-eighth Dylan Brown for the season after he copped an ankle injury in last week’s game so Jai Field comes into the halves while Marata Niukore returns from a ban at the expense of Andrew Davey.

New Zealand Warriors could be on the verge of one of the most remarkable achievements in NRL history as they kept alive their hopes of making the finals with a brilliant performance against Newcastle Knights last week. They will hope to make it five wins from six as they take on a Parramatta Eels outfit that will be licking their wounds after they were nilled in a heavy home loss to South Sydney Rabbitohs last week. The Warriors have shown their ability and character over the last five matches and they are capable of notching another win here but even if they do fall to defeat, they should cover the handicap with a +8.5 start.
