Robin Montgomery vs Ajla Tomljanovic prediction

Robin Montgomery reached a second tour-level semi-final in her career after getting past Daria Snigur in straight sets. The American went ahead in the first set after breaking in the seventh game. Montgomery maintained her level in the second to win 6-4 6-4. She hammered down 14 aces on her way to victory, and is now into the last four of a WTA event for the first time since the Auckland Open in 2025.

She faces Ajla Tomljanovic, with the Australian continuing her resurgence with a win over Caty McNally. Tomljanovic, who beat Dayana Yastremska in the previous round, created 11 break point opportunities in total as she also won 6-4 6-4. This is the 33-year-old’s best result of the season so far, having not advanced beyond the quarter-final stage in 2026 before this event.

Both players have been very impressive so far this week. Montgomery’s lefty serve and flat groundstrokes translate well on this surface, but Tomljanovic will be confident after three wins on the bounce, following a period of poor form.

Robin Montgomery vs Ajla Tomljanovic tip: Over 21.5 games
