Roberto Bautista Agut vs Nuno Borges prediction

Roberto Bautista Agut’s first match on grass this season was at the Libema Open in Rosmalen. He was drawn against Hubert Hurkacz in the first-round and despite pushing the Pole early on, Bautista-Agut would lose 7-6 6-4. The 37-year-old has shown himself to be a fine player on the grass throughout his career, having won a title on the surface and reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon in 2019.

Nuno Borges will be his opponent in round one of Queen’s. Borges also competed in Rosmalen but fared better with a run to the quarter-finals, though he was given a walkover in the round-of-16 due to Otto Virtanen's withdrawal. Furthermore, the Portuguese was thoroughly outclassed in the last eight against Ugo Humbert.

Borges struggles on grass for the most part and there were still positive signs for Bautista-Agut in his first-round match in Rosmalen, while he was also unfortunate to be drawn against a former Wimbledon semi-finalist in Hurkacz. The Spaniard is the more effective player on this surface and we think he’s great value to win this.
